Omicron Sigma Chapter

The Omicron Sigma chapter of Delta Zeta is a sisterhood of strong and diverse women from all over the country united in our passion for our chapter. Founded on Gallaudet University’s campus on April 24, 1993, we are proud to have remained on campus for over 25 years! The Delta Zeta chapter at Gallaudet University holds high personal and academic standards. Our continued dedication to ourselves, our chapter, our university, and our community have earned us national, regional and university awards and recognition.

The Omicron Sigma Chapter of Delta Zeta prides itself for not only providing the best collegiate experience for women, but post-collegiate as well! Our Alumnae Relation chairperson, Cameron Van Zuiden, is selected to coordinate and plan events for our wonderful alumnae every year. Whether the event is big or small, we love to keep our alumnae involved with our chapter.

In order to keep alumnae informed about chapter events, a monthly newsletter is being sent out with information regarding the chapter and alumnae are encouraged to email the chapter in order to be added to the Delta Zeta Gallaudet Alumnae Facebook page. This way, our fellow sisters can keep in touch with our chapter. Alumnae, if you would like to receive information about our chapter and/or have not updated your contact information with us, please email us at to be put on the list.

Without the support of our incredible alumnae, Omicron Sigma chapter would not be the same chapter as it is today. The alumnae are the foundation of our chapter. A common phrase we like to refer to is, “Not just four years, but for life.” This means that whether a sister is active, an alumna or recently passed, she is going to have a lifetime of sisterhood in Delta Zeta such as the sisters shown on this page.
